Our Patrons

The Hon. Rosa Monckton

Having been a supporter for many years, Rosa was KIDS Chairman for 4 years, and has been our President since 2003.  She built a career as a businesswoman, becoming founder and managing director of Tiffany & Co London, chief executive of Asprey & Garrard, and now runs her own business.  She is married to journalist Dominic Lawson and they have two daughters, Savannah and Domenica, who has Down's Syndrome.

John Mulcahy MBE

John founded KIDS in the late 1960s as an organisation providing holidays for disabled children.  He soon realised that the children and their families needed ongoing support, and KIDS quickly became a leader in providing Portage and respite services and inclusive nurseries.  He was one of the first people to understand that services to disabled children should be provided in consultation with their parent or carer, and this has been the keynote of KIDS for 40 years.  John received the MBE for his work with disabled children and is now Vice President of KIDS.
