KIDS is a national charity supporting disabled children and their families for the last 40 years. Our training has developed to meet the requirements of children, parents and professionals working towards inclusion, and is delivered by experienced and dedicated professional trainers. Artshop (Sandra Taylor)
Sandra Taylor is a freelance creative facilitator and trainer with over twenty years of experience in working with children and young people to promote creative expression. The Creative Play course can be tailored to meet the needs of trainees or a particular setting, including: providing new ideas for encouraging creativity; considering theories and approaches of inclusive creative play; exploring how to make the most of materials and resources across a range of 2D and 3D art forms and developing ways to extend creative play through story and drama.

Shirley Stansfield is an experienced trainer and facilitator with over 20 years’ experience in the equalities field. Using her personal experience of disability, humour and practical examples, training sessions are interactive, fun and engaging.
Shirley offers standard and bespoke courses, for practitioners, parents, disabled young people and disabled adults.

An Introduction to Disability Equality
Training 4 Kidz Play (Jacqui Byland)
Jacqui has experience in the field of play and childcare. Over the last 30 years she has worked directly with children and young people through to managing play workers, play leaders & volunteers. Jacqui worked as a Regional and National Officer for KIDS NDD, this enabled her to work at a strategic level to assist in the process of change towards inclusive ethos with local authorities. She is a qualified adult teacher, holding D32/D33 NVQ assessor certificates. Jacqui is also qualified in British Sign Language level 1 & 2, Sign Supported English level 1, 2 & 3 and British Deaf Association level Foundation A & B and now offers a variety of courses.
Jacqui is an active member of a local Forum for Parents of Disabled children and has experienced discrimination personally as a parent though the eyes of her child. She is passionate about the rights and choices for disabled children and young people to ensure accessibility to play, childcare & leisure possibilities. Jacqui can offer standard and bespoke courses, for practitioners & parents. Her courses are known for their humour and good fun, whilst learning.
