Hull City Council Youth Service – Providing space and support for the Saturday session.

How does the service work?

KIDS Hull currently run three weekly youth groups and a monthly Saturday group.  The children have access to stimulating and healthy lifestyle activities, including preparing healthy snacks, sports, arts and crafts, theatre and performance and generally to have space that is theirs to enjoy. Transport is provided on the KIDS minibus.

‘The best part of the youth group for me is making friends and having a good conversation with people who understand me.’

‘If R had not come to the group she would have had a more isolated and unhappy life. It was her first ‘club’ and it gave her the confidence to join others. She is happy and confident. It gave her a safe place where she was accepted as herself.’

Who is the service for?

The youth groups support disabled young people aged between 8 and 18 years.

How much does it cost?

This service is free.
