As part of our parent and family support services, The Hull Dad's group actively participate in the review, planning and commissioning of services for disabled children and young people across the city. Their views are fed directly into the Parents’ Forum. At least one member of the Dad’s Group attends each main forum meeting.

How does the service work?

The group aims to provide a non-confrontational setting for dads and other male carers to discuss issues affecting them and their disabled child. These discussions feed into the main Parents’ Forum and therefore inform future policy, practice and the commissioning of services for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.
