As part of our parent and family support services, KIDS Birmingham carers provides sibling support, help with education or training and access to support services. The focus is always on the individual needs of the carer and the support they need.

Individual support can take place in community venues across Birmingham or at our Centre where groups are also held.

How does the service work?

The service is flexible to meet the individual needs of the carer.  It may be attending a group at our Centre or support within the community either at home or a local venue.  The carer and worker agree what they would like to achieve and put in place a plan to achieve this through 6 support sessions.  

Who is the service for?

Carer’s of disabled children and young people in the Birmingham region, including young carers.

How much does it cost?

This service is free.


For times of groups please contact the Centre directly. For individual support this is arranged individually with the family.
