‘Your Voice’ video competition for 11-16 year olds

14 October 2014

Do you know a child aged 11-16 with special educational needs?

The Challenging Behaviour Foundation and Council for Disabled Children want to find out what children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities want and need, and think the best way is to ask!

Your Voice is a video competition for those who display behaviour described as challenging.

Download info for children and young people and easy read instructions.

The competition aims to find out:

  • What they like doing outside of school
  • Why they like doing it
  • What makes it hard to do these things
  • Who or what helps them do these things

It intends to gather the views of children and young people, in the hope that these videos will influence the development of the Early Intervention Project, and even help to kick-start national change.

Children and young people can communicate their answers in any way they like. For example they could:

  • Talk
  • Use signs, pictures, photos or symbols
  • Act out or do the things
  • Film what you like doing
  • (Any other way you can think of)
  • A combination of the above

Prizes –

Winner - £50 Amazon Voucher
2 runners up - £25 Amazon Vouchers

Deadline for entries is 3 November

Send entries to earlyinterventionproject@thecbf.org.uk
