The Children and Young People Now Awards 2014 have become the gold standard for everyone working with children, young people and families. Running nine years now, they reward innovation and inspiration in initiatives from the public, private and voluntary sector.
Entries are closed, and the shortlist has been announced. So it's very exciting that some of the young people from the KIDS Relationships and Sexuality projects were asked to be a part of the judging panel.
Daniel John from the South West and Bernie Kent from the North West were both thrilled to be a part of the awards. The day was hard work, but they loved judging some fantastic projects.
They will also be attending the awards ceremony at the Hurlingham Club in London on 20 November, and are lucky enough to get the chance to present one of the awards themselves.
The KIDS Relationships and Sexuality Projects enable groups of young disabled people to discuss subjects in an open and supportive environment, ensuring that they have increased confidence and are able to make informed choices. Find out more about this great project.
