KIDS' chief executive Caroline Stevens with Samantha Cameron at No. 10 Downing Street
KIDS was founded in 1970 and works with disabled children and young people throughout England and provides a much needed lifeline to their families and carers.
KIDS is not part of Kids Company – a charity that works with vulnerable children and young people. Kids Company Chief Executive and Founder Camila Batmanghelidjh will take up a new advocacy and clinical role in the organisation according to a BBC news article released today.
Caroline Stevens, KIDS Chief Executive has been working with the charity now for just under two years and is passionate about the care that the charity provides.
“As a mother of a disabled child myself I know full well the challenges that families face. The care that KIDS provides to over 8,000 children and young people is hugely important and plays a crucial role in everyday family life. We exist to help fulfil the ambitions and aspirations of disabled children and young people and I’m extremely proud of the work that KIDS does in helping to achieve this.”
