KIDS welcomes new Chief Executive Caroline Stevens takes up the post today (27 August 2013) and replaces Kevin Williams who is stepping down after seven years of leading the charity. Caroline is joining KIDS from the British Lung Foundation (BLF) where she has been Chief Operating Officer. In this role she has deputised for the CEO and played an important role in the development of the new five year strategy including redesigned operations, patient support and facilities utilisation across the UK. Prior to working in the charity sector, Caroline was a hospital Managing Director and Operating Theatre Manager. She has an MBA, is a qualified pharmacist and a trustee of the charity Agecare, which provides support for people with dementia and their carers. Caroline is a mother to three sons, one of whom is disabled. Caroline will be working together with Kevin during a handover period until 13 September. She will be based at KIDS London offices.
