KIDS Strut benefits from £5,000 donation

01 March 2014

KIDS Strut, which provides after-school and holiday activities for disabled children in Lincolnshire, was one of five charities chosen to receive a generous donation of £5,000 from The Elite Fish and Chip Company.

With the support of their customers, and the hard work by the staff at all three Elite Fish and Chip shops in Ruskington, Lincoln and Sleaford, a staggering £27,489 was raised as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations. £25,000 was split between KIDS Strut and four other local charities with each charity receiving £5,000. The balance of £2,489 was given to other local charities.

Adrian Tweedale, the owner of The Elite Fish and Chip Company and his daughter Rachel Tweedale, presented the cheque to Phil Greenwood, the community fundraiser at KIDS Strut.

The donation will allow KIDS Strut to take 20 children on a three-day residential break this year.

Additionally, and as a demonstration of their continuous support, The Elite Fish and Chip Company has offered KIDS Strut use of its 100-seater restaurant for a fundraiser later in the year
