Independent Support Evidence and Build report now available to download

The Council for Disabled Children have released their findings from the Evidence and Build phase for Independent Support that took place during April to June 2014.

This work concentrated on consulting with parent / carers and disabled children and young people on how they would envisage an Independent Support service working for them, and what hasn’t worked for them in the past. Case studies highlighting good practice and recommendations for different models of delivering Independent Support are also included.

The CDC report on this work can be found here:

KIDS was one of the organisations commissioned to undertake research to inform the CDC report and we can now make our findings publicly available. If you would like to receive a copy of the report KIDS submitted to CDC, please email
