Final guidance on transitional arrangements to new SEN system

New special educational needs and disability (SEND) reforms come into effect on 1st September 2014.

The Department for Education has released the final version of the transitional guidance on the move to the new 0-25 system.

The information is aimed at the key groups involved in helping to deliver the changes set out in the Childrens and Families Act 2014. It is for:

  • local authorities
  • organisations involved in statutory assessments of special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities
  • providers of services for children and young people with SEND
  • early years settings
  • schools
  • further education and training providers
