Cranswick Country Foods based at Preston near Hull have been supporters of KIDS Yorkshire and Humber for the past six years and every other year they dedicate their Golf Day to raising money for KIDS.

A fantastic 33 company teams took part in the 2014 Golf Day held in early May which included a dinner at the prestigious Forest Pines Golf Resort in Lincolnshire.   At the dinner the, mostly male, golfers were visibly moved when they heard KIDS Regional Director, Sue Cawkwell, read out the poem “Welcome to Holland” and talk about the difference their money had made to disabled children in Hull and their families.

The generousity of the people at the event was amazing, with the raffle and auction raising additional thousands of pounds, brining the total of money raised to a staggering £40,000 which exceeded everyone’s expectations.

We can’t thank Cranswick Foods  enough, Nick Mitchell in particular who totally organised the day, including recruiting the teams and getting most of the auction prizes, for their continuing support which includes planning another Golf Day in 2016!!
