Charity reception at 10 Downing Street

25 March 2015

Over one hundred guests attended the reception including children, young people and their families who have been supported by KIDS.

KIDS works with over 8,000 disabled children, young people and their families across England each year. Our work empowers young people to achieve their aims while giving parents and carers the skills and confidence to nurture and develop their child.

We are working to raise awareness of our vital work with disabled young people aged 0-25 years.

Caroline Stevens, KIDS CEO commented, “I would like to say a huge thank you to Samantha Cameron from everyone at KIDS. We help disabled children through life-changing play, leisure, learning and training opportunities. We want all disabled children to be able to realise their aspirations and be part of an inclusive society.”

Samantha Cameron commented “My son Ivan had a profound disability and I will always remember how helpless David and I felt when he was born. It has been wonderful to host this reception for KIDS today and to meet some of the families that they support. They are a fantastic charity and I am very pleased to be able to help raise awareness for them”.
