KIDS Annual Review 2014/15

15 September 2015

It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to our Annual Review for 2014-15; a year in which we have provided practical and emotional support to over 8,000 disabled children, young people and their families.

The past year has seen us continue to expand our work across the whole of England, providing over 120 vital services to disabled children, young people and their families.

We aim to help every child, no matter how complex their requirements or challenging their behaviour. This includes supporting disabled children and young people up until the age of 25 as we recognise that successful transition to adulthood ensures greater independence and a far better quality of life for those we support.

Our model is not just to support disabled children, but to give help to the whole family, alleviating some of the pressure and stress that can become overwhelming for parents and siblings.

KIDS would not exist without the dedication of our staff and volunteers and all those who fundraise on our behalf to support our much needed and highly regarded services.

We would like to personally thank them all for the significant contribution they make.

There continues to be significant uncertainty within the sector due to the continued economic pressure on local authorities and the implementation of the legislative changes arising from the Children and Families Act.

Our role remains to support parents as they navigate these changes, in order to access the best possible care for their children.
