Young Facilitators offers peer to peer training sessions around relationships and sexuality issues.  The sessions are aimed at young disabled people aged 13 to 25 and can be delivered in any setting including schools, colleges and youth groups. The Young Facilitators project was developed in order to address the fact that young disabled people were telling the charity that they had not had access to appropriate education around relationships and sexuality.  Young people decided that there was no one better to deliver the training than young disabled people themselves.

The 5 young facilitators have been working with KIDS, learning about relationships and sexuality as service users, for several years.  All 5 have been fully trained, extensively practiced and are able to deliver sessions around such topics as relationships, personal space, drugs and alcohol, and public and private situations.

The cost per hour is £75 for voluntary organisations and £100 for non-voluntary organisations plus travel expenses.
