Bracknell Activity Weekends

This project provides targeted weekends to disabled young people aged 12 – 17 years with moderate to severe learning difficulties, who do not receive overnight respite services from any other providers.

How does the service work? The weekends away are a chance for the young people to have fun, whilst providing the opportunity for them to practice skills such as cooking, planning and personal care.

Who is it for? These weekends are for disabled young people aged 12 – 17 years with moderate to severe learning difficulties.  These are targeted weekends open to young people who do not receive overnight respite services from any other providers.  It offers a combination of team building, outdoor and leisure activities and are held in Surrey, Kent and the New Forest.

What our families say:
"Why didn't we do this sooner, my son had such an amazing time"

"Just wanted to let you know that Harry went on the Kids camping this weekend and had an absolutely fantastic time.  He hasn't stopped talking about it since he got home.  For Harry it's so good for his independence and confidence to be amogst friends like himself"
